UPDATE: I am delighted to join the School of Banking and Finance at the Australian School of Business as assistant professor of finance.
What I do
I study how humans perceive and react to uncertainty, specifically with respect to financial risks.
This research uses tools from economic sciences (experimental economics, behavioral economics and financial economics) and cognitive sciences (decision neuroscience, cognitive psychology and machine learning) to pin down the nature of uncertainty in financial contexts, from the perspective of individual decision makers — “Neurofinance.”
Where I come from
After studying economics and statistics at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de la rue d’Ulm and the École Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique, I spent 1 year visiting at Princeton and 2 years doing a PhD in finance at the London School of economics. I transferred to the Swiss Finance Institute in September 07 to pursue my PhD research under the supervision of Peter Bossaerts. I graduated in November 2009.
